Clyde Black's (#20 on the list) book "The Secrets of Spanish Pool Checkers" (written with Archie Walkers), especially volume 2, was by far in advance of any books of that era (printed in the 1950), and that includes Russian books. Volume 2 featured a technic they dubbed a "Magic Chart" - somehow they envisioned the "Excel" way to assemble the lines 40 years before the program was invented!
