Interesting
Here is an interesting position, right from the game, one side is trying to steal the too advanced checker, the other side, while defending it, is mounting an attack on the left side. Normally in such positions black move 1.10-14 forcing the 2...25-22 to get a draw.
But here we also have a hidden gem move 1.12-16! What is really interesting is that my Aurora program repeatedly answers 24-20, can someone show why 24-20 is bad?

Update:

Thank you Sacks for the follow-up on 1... 25-22. Here are a few examples to the follow-up... Sorry about the delay. 1.12-16 25-22 2.18x25 21x30 3.10-14 17x10 4.6x15 24-20 A must for white. 5.1-6 Note the timing on this. I think the timing is in favor of black. Pretty much self explanitory at this position.

Note: White may try and get away, to no avail: 27-23 6.5-9 26-22 7.9-14 30-25 8.14-17 23-18 9.17x26 18-14 10.26-30 14-9 11.30x21 9x2 12.21-14 2-6 13.16-19 6-1 14.14-5 1-6 15.5-9 6-1 [ 15...6-2 16.9-23 2x16 17.19x12 ] 16.9-6 1x10 17.15x6

Congrutes!!
You are a good player Youngblood and you have explained it very well.So the move which can possibly help to survive is 25-22 that is after move 12-16 to avoid the explosion of the Shotgun.
