Be forewarned, what follows is a typical techy mambo-jumbo, pretending to know something :) The Pool Checkers Library has moved - yet it stays at the same http://library.poolcheckers.com/ address - how could it be?
The secret is that http://library.poolcheckers.com/ does not actually exist - it is a pointer to another site. The old site was at http://poolcheckers.ucoz.com and the new one is at http://poollibrary.ucoz com.
I simply switched the pointer to point from one site to another. Smart and easy, the users need to do nothing, same address as before!
Now to answer the question why?

I noticed that the site's forum is not used. As forums are concerned, the Ucoz forum is good but not great. As an experiment I created another forum http://poolcheckers.forumotion.com/ based on the popular PhpBB technology, CheckersUSA was built on it, perhaps it will be more popular. One thing - as an independent program the new forum requires a separate registration.

Today I saw 3 guests on the site at the same time, was trying to imagine which section of the site they were viewing.
The Ucoz system gives no details unfortunately. Would be nice if they registered, but many players prefer to stay hidden.

You can now read Charles Thompson's famous 20 Greatest and Legends Of Buster series originally published on the CheckersUSA website in 2003-2005.
Till now we only had "The Legend of Buster Smith" article in the Publisher section, but now I re-created the whole thing - enjoy!

Sad news from Kharkov, Ukraine - Zinoviy Zirik, the greatest checkers genius of all times, passed away today July 16, 2011 at the age of 87.
Six times Russian Champion, enthusiastic speaker and author of many books, teacher of many generations of Russian champions, he will always be remembered as the First Grandmaster.
